Digital Portrait

I just finished this copy of a William Bouguereau painting. It was all done in Corel Painter. It started off as just being a quick 2hr painting, but ended up becoming a 3 night painting.

Bouguereau Copy Sample

Still working on learning Corel Painter. I've been trying out different brushes. This was supposed t have been just a quick 2hr sketch, but it's turning out realy nice so I'm spending some more time on it. I figure I'll learn more if I keep going on this one until I feel it's A++. This is just a close up, I'll post the finished piece very soon.

Itsy Bitsy

I just recently finished this digital painting for a student film that was made out in California. My friend Paul Hargrave did the modeling and animation of the spider. For this shot all I had to do was make the spider look beat up and have blood spatter on the floor and on the bible. Once I have a link to the finished movie I will post it.

Hand-made Books

This Book is called the Tales of Uncle Tompa ~ Uncle Tompa Sells Penises at the Nunnery. It's an actual Tibetan folk tale written by Rinjing Dorje. I did all of the illustrations and designed the book. I designed it so that at first glance you just see a funny shaped book, when you open it up it forms a penis shape. I also designed it to be able to stand up and become sculptural. This book made it into the Best of Ringling Show 2006.

These are a set of three books on Locomotives from three different time periods. I always wanted to make a pop up book, but this might just be the first and last time I make one. Cutting out each train was not fun, but I like how it looked in the end.

This is inspired by the song "A boy named Sue" by Johnny Cash
